As a resident of Kentucky, you should take the following steps to ensure your decision to become a donor is carried out:
- Indicate your wishes to be a donor by going to www.donatelifeky.org and signing up on the Kentucky Donor Registry.
OR
- Join the Donor Registry when you apply for or renew your driver's license at your Circuit Court Clerk's office
Kentucky does not require family consent to carry out your decision to be an organ, eye or tissue donor if you are on the Kentucky Donor Registry. However, keeping everyone informed will help avoid any confusion or delays.
