As a resident of Michigan, you should take the following steps to ensure your decision to become a donor is carried out:

• Sign up online at www.giftoflifemichigan.org.


• Sign up on the Michigan Donor Registry at a Secretary of State Branch Office.


• Sign up by calling 1-800-482-4881.

As of 1/1/07, when adding your name to the Donor Registry you will receive a red heart donor symbol to place on the front of your Driver's license or state ID card. If you have added your name to the registry prior to 1/1/07, please sign up again. This will update your donor registration and ensure you receive your heart sticker. Michigan has first person consent law.  Print a family notification card now.
